Sri Lankan Roti

Kottu Roti is a popular dish in Sri Lanka; it’s made with roti (a type of flat bread made across southeast Asia), vegetables, and egg and/or meat all mixed together and fried.  You can often hear the “click clack” of the blunt metal blades (as shown above) coming from restaurants and food stalls.  The picture above was shot at a stall in Ella, in the Sri Lankan Highlands.
